Upper West Side

This is an upscale, primarily residential area of New York and has the reputation of being home to New York City’s artistic and cultural workers.
It is situated between 59th and 110th street, from the Hudson river to Central Park West.

Place to visit:
Barneys Co-op:

I like the mix and match approach of this store, and how it supports young talent who produce "different" clothing. However once in Barneys Co-op this clothing often becomes mainstream. Definitely somewhere I want to visit for inspiration.

CPW:
If you're after high quality denim, this corner boutique is the place to go. I'm keen to go investigate the vintage pieces and the preppy clothing by the likes of Ever, an LA based clothing company.

Marc by Marc Jacobs:

Even though I won't be able to afford anything from this shop I definitely still want to visit. After looking at his 70's inspired Spring 2011 collection (as seen above), with the fun and flirty colours, mixed with the eccentric prints and retro accessoires, I am intrigued to see whats in store.

Magnolia Bakery:

I am definitely going here, these are the cutest cupcakes ever!

Rags A GoGo:

This store specialises in Vintage clothing at a reasonable price. Can't wait to see what I can find!
